Judith 5 weeks

This is the block/farm animal "city" that Ezra created in his room during quiet time a couple of days ago. I thought it was pretty cool!

We're all looking forward to spending some time together next week. Mike is taking off all week to hang out with us before we head to Texas on Saturday. He will be deploying to Afghanistan shortly thereafter for 6 months. :(

Judith is 5 weeks old! And Jonas turns 2 in almost 2 1/2 weeks!

These pictures in the yellow flowers were taken on Sunday (when Mike was working in an exercise). We had about a 3 day stretch of beautiful weather!

Judith 4 weeks

Today, Judith is 4 weeks old.
This is her shocked look.

I had planned to cut myself out of this picture, but decided not to because I thought I looked funny. I was concentrating so hard on taking the picture of Judith.

Judith-3 weeks

The boys emptied the toys from the shelves on the changing table.
I'm not sure why this was so much fun, but they loved it.
Happenings: Mike went back to work and I've actually made a couple of short outings with all three kiddos that weren't half bad. We ran to the BX to get about 5 items one day. And today we made it to Story Time at the library. Jonas was the winner of a book drawing! Free books are the best.

Also, I'm not sure how much Judith weighs (we have a check up tomorrow), but she's officially out of newborn size diapers and into a one. She's also really strong. She consitently lifts her head off my should to look around at the world (and her noisy brothers). She has also gotten pretty darn close to rolling over already. Of course, her most determined efforts come at the end of her tolerance for laying on her tummy and she pushes and screams and squirms and can lift one whole side of her body up.

Who doesn't love baby toes?!

Ezra's teacher got offered a job at a school so he's no longer going to "school" on Mon/Wed/Fri. I think he misses it, but at least we still have Bible study where he can have some peer interaction.
I tried to catch a picture of Judith trying to roll over, but she just wanted to sleep. I did manage to snap a picture of a sleep-smile though. How cute!

I don't think there's anything new with Jonas. His eczema has been pretty under control for the past few days, so that's always nice. I think we are mostly over our bug. Man, it was a rough one.

Judith-2 weeks

I can't believe I'm on time this week, especially since we are all sick. Boo. Jonas is the only one who has run a fever, but we all have the sniffles, and coughs. The aspirator and saline drops are Judith's best friends right now, and hopefully it won't develop into anything else! What a bad time for us to catch a family bug. Mike was off most of this week too, so it's definitely been a blessing to have him around since all the kids (and me) are extremely needy in their varying degrees of sickness.

This is what Jonas looked like on his worst days earlier in the week. Poor kid.

Again, a plethora of pictures (you should see all the ones I didn't post) from Mike and I playing with the camera. Here's a pic of Ezra cleaning up some spilled water. What a helpful boy! Well, I guess it would have been helpful if he hadn't spilled in the first place...

Judith also had her first bath this week. I can't say that she was a huge fan, but it was over quickly and then all was well. She sure did smell purty after it though.

Judith-1 week

Today is well past Juith's 1-week birthday, but the pictures are accurate.

The boys still adore her, but Jonas is sick and I fear Ezra might be catching it, so touching baby sister is to a minimum at this point. Which you would think is a fate worse than death for Ezra who pleads, "I want to hold baby Judith. Please, please, please!"

I think the "Cute as can bee" outfit was when she was 6 days old. The pink, cherry outfit says "I'll always be Grandma's sweetie" and I think that was 7 days old.

On Friday, (8 days old) she was up to 6 lbs, 13 oz. So she's officially gaining weight and growing. Compared to the boys, she's a really great sleeper, and she spits up less. The last 2 days, she was awake about 8am until 10 or 11 am. Then she sleeps most of the rest of the day. She's awake maybe an hour or two stretch in evenings too. Then when we go to bed between 10 and 11, she only wakes up 2 times after that. Which I think is pretty good. Seems like the boys woke up much more.

I had a great birthday with many cakes. :) Mike got me a fancy new camera that we've both been playing with. Hence the many pictures taken.

The close up, sideways face shot of Judith will be featured on her birth announcement with two other really sweet pictures that I refrained from posting so they will be a surprise.
