Ezra's birthday was Friday, and we celebrated on Saturday (which also happened to be Valentines Day). I don't want to make a habit out of having his birthday on Valentines Day, but in this case it was just more convenient to wait one extra day for the weekend. I want to make every effort to keep the birthday and holiday seperate. I know it doesn't really matter to him right now, but it probably will later on.

This was on his actual birthday. French toast for breakfast--a welcome diversion from the usual egg, waffle, pineapple fare. We worked for a day or so on telling him to say, "Two!" when asked how old he is. I sang happy birthday to him about a million times that day.
The cake upon completion. Not exactly award-winning like the one from last year (ha, ha), but definitely home made with love. As Mike so lovingly commented, "At least you can tell what it's supposed to be...". The kid loves his Veggie Tales.
All in attendence at the party. The Allison family. :)

Mike's graduation from ALS was Tuesday night. It was nice and kinda fun.

Here is Mike with his supervisor Sgt. McCrory. She was nice. This is Mike and Travis. Travis is a friend from Bible study. He was there at the invitation of one of his troops, but was supporting Mike as well. :)

Here's a video of Mike's walk across the stage.

Jonas turns 8 months old today. In eczema news-- after two rounds of hydrocotisone treatments, our friend Jeremy, who also happens to be the kid's pediatrician, is referring us to an allergerist and dermatologist to see if we can get his eczema under control. We'll be making appointments with those folks soon. Jeremy wants Jonas to have a "clear face" by his 1 year check up. :)
We had some snow last night...
This is last night when the kids were playing peek a boo. I also included a video but like always, the best part had ended by the time I got the camera out and on. :(

Ezra imprisoned Jonas under the laundry basket the other day. Jonas actually didn't mind for a while. He kept right on playing as if there wasn't anything on his head at all. Eventually though, he became hindered by his basket burden and wanted it off.

Just a few pics and a bath video this week. Next will be Ezra's birthday blog!
You may notice a tiny bruise on Ezra's forhead and some scratches on his nose and upper lip. We were attempting to take a walk, but Ezra wanted to walk instead of ride in the stroller so he protested when I attempted to put him in the stroller. He threw himself out of the stroller and might have landed on the pavement without incident, if it hadn't been just a little icy. He slipped and face planted on the ground skinning up those areas on his face and busting his lip, promptly ending our walk. It's a good thing we hadn't made it out of the neighborhood yet.
Crawling last week and already climbing the stairs this week. What a stinker!

This was the sunrise a couple of mornings ago. I hung out of Jonas' bedroom window on the second floor to take this. It was so pretty! I took this picture at about 8 am. The bad thing about the sunrise, is that it doesn't happen until 8:30 or so, but the good thing is that we're almost always awake to see it. Except, most mornings it's cloudy so it's rarely this awe inspiring. Too bad the houses in our neighborhood are so closely spaced... It really messes up our view.
