Thursday, we went to Story Time at the library, and Ezra made this bunny mask. He proceeded to wear it on and off for the rest of the weekend. I know it's hard to tell, so for the sake of clarification, Ezra is the one looking at the camera, and Jonas is the one looking at the eggs.
Saturday was the official kick-off for our Easter weekend. While I went to get a much needed and seldom indulged in pedicure with the girls, Mike took the boys to a park on base to participate in the "Eggstravaganza". It was a little nuts even in the 0-3 year old section, with parents hoarding more eggs than the kids, so they didn't get too many eggs. They still had a fun time playing though and both were really happy to meet and chat with the Easter bunny. No pics. :( Mike can not be bothered with taking pictures.
Saturday afternoon, we dyed our Easter eggs. This will sound silly, but it's amazing what a difference a year makes. I had high hopes last year but was disappointed by Ezra's lack of interest in dying eggs. This year was much more fun. They were both able to follow instructions (put one dye tablet in each bowl), and wait patiently for the tablet to dissolve.
Easter morning, the boys looked through their Easter baskets, ate some candy, and hunted some eggs around the house. Then we went to a fantastic service at church and did our usual lunch/commissary routine.
That afternoon we went over to the Moll's and had our sitter take the kids downstairs so we could enjoy a lovely, adult meal. The Farmers put on another Easter egg hunt. These are a few pictures of the hunting.
