Halloween 2010

For Halloween, Ezra was a shark, Jonas was a dragon, and Judith was a flower. Mommy and my favorite flower.

Jonas. The happiest dragon you'll ever meet.

Nana and the boys making Halloween cookies.

A joint effort.

Our Halloween Pumpkin (that we had to throw away 2 days after we set it out because it is so stinkin' hot in Houston).

Maybe my favorite Halloween pic from this year.

An attempt to clean out the "gross" stuff.

At the pumpkin patch. They were about done posing for pictures at this point.

Costumes at the pumpkin patch.

Spider web face.

Getting their faces painted.

Jonas is so happy to be petting the llama (?).

Feeding the pony some dirt (the pony didn't really eat it).

Love this picture! Everyone has such a silly face.

Jonas doing his "crying face" in jail. Whaaaa!

Ezra on a playground fort.

Mommy and Judith on the hay ride.

Judith is 6 months!

Miss Judith Damaris had her 6 month birthday on Friday. She can totally sit by herself and transitions to her tummy pretty well. She can roll circles around the living room, and is starting to low crawl, but isn't up on all fours yet.

This was Ezra on picture day at school.
More fun with bubbles.
Five days before her 6 month birthday, Judith found her voice and started right in with the "da-da-da-da-da"s. I don't know why it wasn't "ma-ma-ma-ma-ma". She hasn't even see her Daddy in 4 1/2 months. Guess she's already practicing how she's going to wrap herself around his little finger when he gets home. On the video, you can also hear Jonas repeating "Do it myself" because he wanted to take pictures with the camera. I hear that phrase a trillion times a day. Everything is "Do it myself!" And about halfway through the video, Ezra starts turning the light on and off. Always an adventure...

Sitting pretty!

"Paint your face" night at Awana! The boys were tigers. This is Jonas' roaring face.

Sweet Judith Damaris. 5 1/2 months.

It has been a beautiful couple of weeks in Houston with highs in the low/mid 80s and lots of sunshine. Consequently, we have been making the rounds to all of the great parks in our area.

More Judith.

Tiger faces! Grrr!

At 5 1/2 months, Judith is officially sitting on her own for extended periods of time. The video was taken a week or so ago. At the time, her transitioning tool from sitting to laying was the "fall method". A week later, she's beginning to get the hang of putting her elbow and forearm down first and swinging her legs around to be able to lay on her tummy. She's quite mobile by the "rolling method". When on her tummy, she can pull either her legs up, or push up on her hands, but not at the same time. She's learning fast though. I took the video the wrong way and don't know how to rotate it, so tilt your head to the left for viewing. :)

I took the kids to Pump it Up today. The boys had a blast. Ezra was such a good brother to hold Jonas' hand while going down the slide.

Curious George Live!

On Friday, my friend Jennifer and I took the kids to see Curious George Live. They did pretty well. The first half went great, but they were a little restless after the intermission. We were the first row in the section, so Ezra kept wanting to climb on and through the railing. Then, there was a meltdown after the show because I didn't get him a toy. Otherwise, it was a lot of fun and I'm super glad Jennifer was there to help me out!
Here's Jennifer with the boys upon arrival into the arena. They saw the stage and were really excited.

This lady was a plate of spaghetti (it went along with the story line). She kept cracking Jennifer and I up. She was always doing silly dances and making faces--as demonstrated in this picture. :)

My beautiful cousin Laney and I as we celebrate her 29th birthday at Kobe.

One day, we were outside in the front yard letting Ezra practice on his fancy red bicycle from Nana and Grandpa. I turned away for just moments while I snapped this picture of Judith.

When we turned back to check on Ezra, he had taken off his bathing suit and was contemplating the problem of getting his bike out of the grass and back onto the sidewalk. Of course, I was contemplating an altogether different problem.

Judith--4 1/2 months. Pretty in purple.
Uncle Garrett is teaching the boys how to play the Wii.
Judith started cereal in celebration of her 5 month birthday (2 days early). She's doing really great with it!

This is an insanely long video. I had no idea it was so long. I recorded it for Mike, but I doubt if even he watches the whole thing. ;) I just can't figure out how to edit video on my computer!

This video is much shorter. I can't remember why Jonas was counting, but he counted to 12 and I thought I should document it. Of course, he didn't do it again as well as he did it the first time, but it still makes for a pretty cute video.
This is a video of Judith laughing. She still makes me work pretty hard for the giggles. By the time I got the camera out, she had the hiccups and had a little coughing fit (her cough is all better now, by the way).

Haircuts

Nothing too blog worthy to report, but I figured I should put some new pics up for Mike.

The boys do looks handsome with their high-dollar haircuts. It was definitely high-dollar compared to Mommy cutting it at home, but there was no screaming or tears at the fancy kid hair cut place, so perhaps $18.99 a piece was worth it.

Silly Jonas put his pool float on in his car seat. Looks like a pretty comfy pillow to me. It was no easy task to get him out though.

At 4 1/2 months, Judith is sitting up very well with support. She still hasn't quite figured out how to push herself back over from back to tummy although she rolls from tummy to back like a pro. She's also really great at putting herself to sleep. Just give her a full tummy, clean diaper, pacifier, and blanky and she's happy to fall asleep on her own in bed. She really is a good little girl!

My post bath time, angel baby.
